Millinery Block Making
This millinery course will provide you with an introduction to designing and making millinery blocks. We'll show you how to achieve balance in your design by studying creations of important milliners and we'll then help you design your own shape. By the end of the course you'll have produced a crown and brim block plus a small independent shape which can be used to block a small headpiece or trimming. You should come to the course with ideas of the types of blocks you'd like to create.
To get the most out of this course you should be able to hand sew with a thimble and you should have experience to the equivalent of our 'Millinery 2' course.
Advanced. This course is for those who have progressed through all previous levels or have equivalent experience.
Please note: This course is for students aged 18 and older.
Your course place is confirmed once you have booked online or via the phone using a credit or debit card. There is no deadline for booking. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis, and all courses have a maximum number of students. We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.
