Drawing for 3D Designers for 16 to 18 Year Olds
This packed drawing course will give students the core essential skills to practice any 3D design giving you skills that could be directly used in product, jewellery, furniture design and even interior and architectural design, but they can also be used to simply understand and communicate objects and spaces.
This course will teach you freehand sketch drawing skills, perspective drawing, simple product visualising for presentation of ideas and elevational drawing (orthorgraphic drawing).
The freehand sketch skills taught are essential for initial idea sketching, brainstorm and idea development of for example new product, lighting, furniture, and industrial designs, in fact any 3D product or space/place. These sketch skills are also essential to be able to develop, explain principles, construction and assembly of your designs to yourself and others.
You will also development of your skills in 1, 2 point perspective; learn the basic principles of elevational drawing or orthorgraphic drawing and learn simple techniques to help final presentation of your product/space.
The course will be run by the established and practicing product and furniture designer Rock Galpin.
Please bring the following to the first session:
- A full set of pencils, 2H to 6B/8B
- A notebook
- Approaching Drawing
- Drawing skills freehand and technical
- Presentation skills
You will develop your freehand drawing skills, essential for any designer and your skills in 1, 2 point perspective drawing. You will learn the basic principles of elevational drawing or orthorgraphic drawing.
