Undergraduate Tuition Fees

If you're planning to study at undergraduate level with us, you'll need to pay tuition fees for each year of your course.

Here you can read about tuition fees for undergraduate courses at UAL. These include:

  • BA
  • BSc
  • Foundation Degree
  • Integrated Masters.

Your fee status

How much you need to pay depends on whether you're classed as a Home or International student. This is known as your fee status.

2024/25 Home tuition fees

Most full-time students are charged the following annual tuition fees.

New students

Students starting their course in 2024/25 £9,250

Continuing students who started their course in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 or 2023

Continuing students £9,250 (Full time Home and EU students who started their course in 2020-21 or earlier are entitled to pay at the Home fee rate)
Sandwich (work placement) year £1,850, unless there are changes to Government  policy

Turing or outgoing study abroad year

£1,385, unless there are changes to Government or  Turing policy
Repeating units, transferred course or returning to study after taking time out. Contact your Programme Administrator

2024/25 International tuition fees

Please note: the following tuition fees are for the 2024/25 academic year only, and may increase by up to 5% in later years of a student’s course.

Students starting a course in 2024 £28,570
Students who started in 2023 £27,270
Students who started in 2022 £26,030
Students who started in 2021 £25,780
Students who started in 2020 £25,780
Turing or outgoing study abroad year  20% of the standard fee rate in the relevant row above
Sandwich (work placement) year  20% of the standard fee rate in the relevant row above
Repeating units, transferred course or returning to study after taking time out. Contact your Programme Administrator        

2024/25 Students from the Islands

There is no longer a separate Islands fee rate. Students will pay either the Home or International fee rate.

Students from the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are charged the Home fee rate if they're being funded by their island’s authority for higher education.

If you're not being funded by your island’s authority for higher education, UAL will assess your fee status. Depending on the outcome of this assessment, you may be charged either Home or International fees.

2023/24 Home tuition fees

Most full-time students are charged the following annual tuition fees.

New students

Students starting their course in 2023/24 £9,250 

Continuing students who started their course in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 or 2022

Continuing students £9,250 (Full-time Home and EU students who  started their course in 2020-21 or earlier are entitled to pay at the Home fee rate)
Sandwich (work placement) year £1,850

ERASMUS or outgoing study abroad year

£1,385, unless there are changes to government or ERASMUS policy
Repeating units, transferred course or returning to study after taking time out. Contact your Programme Administrator
