William Callaway Bursary and Scholarship Programme
To be eligible for the William Callaway Bursary and Scholarship Programme students must be:
- Accepted on the full-time Graduate Diploma Textile Design course at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL starting September 2021 or
- Accepted on any Graduate Diploma course at Chelsea College of Arts, Camberwell College of Arts or Wimbledon College of Arts, UAL starting September 2021
Launched in 2020, The William Callaway Bursary and Scholarship Programme will support students in need of financial support on the BA Textile Design and Graduate Diploma Textile Design courses at Chelsea College of Arts, and Graduate Diploma courses across CCW colleges. This programme was created to enable students to focus upon their studies and embrace the wider creative opportunities available to them.
The William Callaway Scholarship and Bursary Programme was made possible by the generous support of the late Professor William Callaway, Head of School (1989-1992) at Chelsea College of Arts (formerly Chelsea College of Art and Design), through a gift in his Will.
The scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit, it will provide a contribution towards course tuition fees.
There are 2 awards available for Home or International students on the Graduate Diploma Textile Design course at Chelsea College of Arts and 2 awards available for Home or International students accepted on any Graduate Diploma course at Chelsea College of Arts, Camberwell College of Arts or Wimbledon College of Arts.
Applications are welcome from those who are in financial hardship and those who will benefit from postgraduate studies to realise their full potential

Closing date: Monday 30 August 2021
The scholarship will provide a contribution towards tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of the course.
Tuition fees will be paid directly from the award into the University’s Tuition Fees account.
Living expense payments will be paid in termly instalments will be paid in termly instalments via BACS to the award recipients.
