MA Sarabande The Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation Scholarship

The MA Sarabande: The Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation Scholarship of £23,100 is available to 1 Home, EU or International student accepted on the MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London in 2019/20.

Eligibility

To be eligible for The MA Sarabande: The Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation Scholarship students must be:

  • Accepted onto the full-time MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins, UAL commencing in October 2019

About

Sarabande: The Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation was established by the late Alexander McQueen CBE to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students experiencing financial hardship with an equal opportunity to study fashion.

The Foundation offers scholarships to ensure that the creative talent of gifted, yet disadvantaged students, can flourish in their academic studies and creative development.

The scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit.

Applications are encouraged from students who are unable to finance themselves through their studies but are gifted with an abundance of talent and dare to challenge the status quo.

Applicants must have a raw, original talent complimented by a strong drive to succeed in the fashion industry.

Applications for this scholarship must be made by filling in an online application form. More information is provided in the guidance notes:

Closing date: 1pm (UK time), Thursday 15 August 2019.

Receiving payment

For International students, the Scholarship is a contribution towards tuition fees.

For Home or EU students, the Scholarship covers full-tuition fees and any balance will provide a small maintenance grant towards course costs and living expenses.

Tuition fees will be paid directly from the award into the University’s Tuition Fees account.

Living expense payments (for Home or EU students only) will be paid in termly instalments to the award recipient.
