The Christopher Kane PLATFORM Scholarship for BA Fashion

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Christopher Kane PLATFORM Scholarship students must be:

• considered a Home student for tuition fee purposes and
• accepted on the first year of the full-time BA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins, UAL starting in September 2022.

About

Christopher Kane is a British luxury fashion house founded by designer and UAL alumnus, Christopher Kane and sister Tammy Kane. Since 2015, the partnership between Christopher Kane and Central Saint Martins has had a tremendous impact on our students, offering 3 talented students the opportunity to study at a world leading fashion design institution, when they may otherwise not have been able to afford to do so.

In 2020, Christopher & Tammy Kane decided to renew its support to Central Saint Martins with the Christopher Kane PLATFORM scholarship for the BA Fashion course. This scholarship will help support an outstanding student who comes from an economically disadvantaged background and who might otherwise be deterred from studying at Central Saint Martins.

The scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit. It will provide a contribution towards course costs and living expenses for 1 Home student.

Applications are encouraged from students who are gifted with an abundance of talent and dare to challenge the status quo.

Applicants must have a raw, original talent complemented by a strong drive to succeed in the fashion industry.

Applications are particularly welcome from students from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds who are in financial hardship and will benefit from undergraduate studies to realise their full potential.

Receiving payment

The scholarship will provide a contribution towards course costs and living expenses.

Living expenses payments will be paid in termly instalments to the student.
