Mead Final Project Awards
This award supports UAL BA/ BSc (Hons) undergraduate students who need extra support to achieve their final major project. You can apply for funding of £200 up to £2,500. The Mead Final Project Award replaces the Mead Scholarship award.
To apply you must be a UAL undergraduate student starting your final year. Your proposal must show how the funds would help you complete your final major project.
We welcome applications by those in receipt of a UAL Bursary or Access to Learning grant. We recognise that finances are often a barrier for these students.
For full details and to apply, visit: arts.ac.uk/mead.
Mead Awards are designed to help UAL students and alumni develop their creative practice. Your arts project can be in any creative discipline which is studied at UAL.
Mead awards aim to help you learn and reflect through the application process. Applicants receive individual feedback at each stage, outlining the main points from the shortlisting panel’s discussions. This is designed to be helpful for creating future proposals, pitches and funding applications.
Careers and Employability manages the awards, as part of its work supporting UAL students and graduates to make a living doing what they love.
The Mead Awards have been generously supported by Scott Mead since 2013. Scott is a fine art photographer, philanthropist and investor, based in London for over 20 years.
Scott's photographs have been exhibited and sold in the UK, Europe and USA and are held in various private and institutional collections. He is also a Governor at UAL, and is involved with a number of major institutions in education, healthcare and the arts through the Mead Family Foundation, of which he is Founder and Chairman.
Please apply at arts.ac.uk/mead.
