Guide to applying

What is UCAS Extra?

UCAS Extra is a free service that allows you to apply for undergraduate courses, if you've already used up your original 5 choices.

If you want to join us this autumn but you have either not got a place or you’ve changed your mind about what to study, UCAS Extra is the route for you.

You can apply via UCAS Extra until 4 July 2024. Any applications after this date will need to be via UCAS Clearing.

Who can use UCAS Extra?

UCAS Extra can be used by both UK and international students.

If you’re an international student who hasn’t yet completed a UCAS application, you can contact one of our in-country representatives for additional help.
