Limited access to LCC building in summer 2022

During summer 2022, there will be very limited access to the LCC building.

This is due to essential building maintenance and enhancement works throughout the summer break.

From 30 July – 26 September 2022:

LCC Library and Learning Zone

The Library will remain open for pre-booked access, with access via the Workshop Block, as per from 25 June.

Make a Library booking at the Library bookings web page.

LCC Library opening times:

  • Monday - Friday: 10am - 6pm [Closed: Monday 29 August for bank holiday]
  • Saturday and Sunday: Closed

If you require the use of a Library on weekends, students are encouraged to use the Learning Zone at Camberwell College of Arts.

Postgraduate Research students

Postgraduate Research students will continue to have access to the 5th Floor of the Tower Block, when accompanied by a tutor, as per from 25 June.

No general access

There will be no other access to the LCC building from 30 July 2022. All communal areas, technical spaces, the canteen and Typo Café, and all teaching and learning areas will be closed.

Big Welcome 2022 events

Some events may be taking place at LCC as part of UAL's Big Welcome programme. Students will be able to access to the relevant space in the building if booked onto a Big Welcome event which is taking place in-person.

26 September 2022

The building is planned to re-open as normal at the start of the 2022/23 academic year, from 26 September 2022.
