From 25 June 2022, there will be very limited access to the LCC building due to essential building maintenance and enhancement works throughout the summer break.

Access for undergraduate students:

Undergraduate students will only have access to the Library and Learning Zone over the summer. To use the Library and Learning Zone during the summer break, you will need to make a booking at the Library bookings web page.

To access the Library, students will need to use an alternative entrance, via the Workshop Block. Signage will be in place. Library opening times are available on the UAL website.

There will be no other access to the LCC building for undergraduate students during the summer break. This includes all communal areas, technical spaces, the canteen and Typo Café, the Digital Space, and all teaching and learning areas.

The building is then planned to re-open as normal at the start of the 2022/23 academic year, from 25 September 2022.

Access for postgraduate students:

Postgraduate students – including students on all MA courses, as well as Graduate Diploma Photography, Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma Design for Visual Communication, and all PhD students – will have some continued limited access to specific parts of the building. This is due to the postgraduate term finishing later than the undergraduate term.
