Huge thanks to our many students and staff in the CSM Fashion Programme who produced, organised and ran the Grayson Perry Dress Auction last month, and to all who supported.

The auction closed on 20 February with final bids totalling over £15k.

The money will be used to create a new fund for students on the CSM BA Fashion Print pathway - the place where the annual ‘design a lovely dress for Grayson’ competition started nearly 2 decades ago.

Thirty-nine items were donated by Sir Grayson and all of the pieces were curated, photographed, documented and promoted by BA Fashion Communication students in the Fashion programme.

The highest bid was Lot 15, a dress created by Koko Kasuga and decorated with hand-drawn figurines and flowers, which closed at £7,750 after thirteen bids. This piece was worn by Claire, Perry’s alter ego, at the Royal Academy of Art summer exhibition party in 2009.
