A series of online sessions in Unreal Engine hosted by the Fashion Innovation Agency at London College of Fashion in collaboration with Education Partner Manager at Epic Games, Mark Flanagan.
Mark, who is an Educator, Artist, and Organiser, with a passion for computer graphics, film, and games, will be teaching three sessions focused on an introduction to Unreal Engine, materials, lighting as well as level design. From VR, AR, 3D rendering, interactive browsing experiences, and virtual production, Unreal Engine is a powerful tool for creators and technologists with diverse applications within the fashion industry.
Session 1: Introduction to Unreal - Friday 20 November 2020, 11am - 1pm - understanding game engine principles and overview of the Unreal Editor and its various tools
Session 2: Materials and Lighting - Thursday 26 November 2020, 11am - 1pm - becoming familiar with the material editor as well as lighting techniques within Unreal Engine
Session 3: Level-environment creation - Friday 15 January 2021, 11am - 1pm - learn how to create inspiring visualisations using Quixel Megascans and other tools
Please note:
Places on this course are only open to LCF students and you must sign up with your UAL email address. Spaces are limited (on a first come, first serve basis), however, there will be a waiting list for students to fill places of any drop-outs. Students who register on the waiting list must please check notifications up to 9am on Friday 20 November in the event of any very last minute drop outs.
Please be courteous to fellow students and only sign up if you can commit to the full three sessions throughout the duration of the course. Please note that the Eventbrite registration for this course only shows as the Friday 20 November, but you are expected to attend all consecutive sessions (as per schedule above). Please inform us by updating your Eventbrite status and email c.kazantzis@arts.ac.uk if you have signed up and are not able to make it so that another student will have the opportunity to take your place.
