Arts SU would like to welcome all students, new and returning, to a new year at UAL! We can’t wait to meet you.

We're looking for new student officers

The autumn term is especially exciting as it’s when the student union elect new part-time officers. Nominations are open now and live on the Arts SU website . Nominations close on Tuesday 27 October and voting begins on Monday 2 November.

This November there are 16 posts up for election:
College Officers

Liberation Officers

Section Officers

What does an officer do?

These roles are designed to work alongside your existing academic timetable. Officers receive a dedicated budget and ongoing training and support to run events, campaigns and initiatives which shape and advance your college or student group.

Or maybe being a delegate is more your thing?

Arts SU are also looking for a NUS delegate to represent them at the NUS National Conference in March 2021. This is an annual event which is attended by more than 1000 delegates, from student unions across the country.

Being an NUS delegate is a great opportunity to shape the future of student politics. During the conference, you will have three main roles: voting to elect the national executive, voting on policy and voting on reports. It is your job to hold the national executive to account and set the priorities for student campaigning over the coming year.

So remember, nominations for both part-time officers and NUS delegates are now open and close on Tuesday 27 October. You can even nominate a friend if you think they have what it takes. Fill out a simple form and we’ll get in touch, give them a little more information about the roles and encourage them to apply!
