Everything you need to know about your graduation ceremony

Our 2022 graduation ceremonies will take place at the Royal Festival Hall (Southbank Centre) throughout July.

If you completed your PG course after August 2021, you and your cohort will be invited to the July 2022 ceremonies.

If you graduated in 2020 or 2021 and would like to attend a ceremony in July, please get in touch via our form.

Registration update

Registration has now closed. We are working our way through all enquiries regarding the upcoming graduation ceremonies. Please bear with us until we get back to you and be assured that we will answer all enquiries. Registered students will receive full information about the ceremony via email at the start of July.

Guest tickets

Guest tickets are now on on sale via the Southbank website. You can invite up to three guests. Tickets are £20 per person. You also have the option of hiring a private box for four people for £200. Booking fees apply online (£3.50) and over the phone (£4). Children under three don’t need a ticket, but must share a seat with a ticket holder.

The ceremony

You will sit with your cohort at the front of the auditorium. Graduates and guests do not sit together.

Accessibility

Contact us if you need any support with accessibility on the day.

Gown hire and photography

You will need to hire your robe in advance, as you will not be allowed to cross the stage if you are not wearing one. Please wait for your registration confirmation before doing this. Book your academic robe and photography by searching for 'University of the Arts London' in the institution box - not 'UAL'.

To ensure you can have your photograph taken, please book in advance.

Discounted accommodation in London

If you will be travelling to London for your ceremony and need somewhere to stay, you'll be happy to hear that we currently have rooms available in our halls in Sketch House (Finsbury Park) and Gardens House (Peckham). We are offering a 10% discount to all students and guests who book with us.

Not able to join us in July?

The class of 2020 and 2021 graduates can attend graduation ceremonies in July subject to availability, or any future ceremonies over the next 5 years.

If you have any queries, please submit the enquiry form.
