Biography
Tobias Revell is an artist and designer. Spanning different disciplines and media his work addresses the urgent need for critical engagement with material reality through design, art and technology. Recent work has looked at the idea of technology as a territory, expectations of the future, rendering software and the occult and supernatural in pop culture discussions of technology.Tobias is a Programme Director at the London College of Communication, UAL. He is a co-founder of research consultancy Strange Telemetry, Founding member of Supra Systems Studio and one-half of research and curatorial project Haunted Machines who curated Impakt festival in 2017. He lectures and exhibits internationally, and has recently appeared at Improving Reality, FutureEverything, IMPAKT Utrecht, Web Directions Sydney, Transmediale Berlin, ThingsCon and Lift Geneva. He is a PhD candidate in design at Goldsmiths.
