About this group
This group explores the creative interface of art/design and science through research and practice, interrogating the processes and systems of knowledge that underpin them.
A central interest is the cross-fertilisation of creative and scientific ideas and their impact in the public domain. The group also considers what the interrelationships between laboratory and studio practice might be, in terms of new approaches to making, and the interconnections between biological, technological and social realms.
The group organises a range of events including the London LASER art and science talks in association with Leonardo and the International Society for Art, Science and Technology (ISAST) and regular meetings for informal exchange of current research and collaborations.
