From small change to big impact: How service design approaches can help to transform healthcare
My thesis will scrutinize existing approaches to Healthcare Service Design by examining current practices, theories and impact to-date. It will strive to advance understanding of how design can accelerate the development of innovative solutions that create new conditions for improved health and wellbeing.
Aims and objectives
Focusing on the practice-based component, it aims to develop an evaluation framework for how the contribution of design practice could be measured more systematically to help healthcare organisations navigate the transition from a reactive model of care to one that promotes prevention and patient-centricity.
