Rafin places sustainability at the heart of her womenswear collections. In this 'how to' she shows you how to get started with weaving at home with fabric offcuts.

In the first of Rafin's video demos you'll find out how to make a cardboard loom and add the vertical structure (warp) for your weaving from medium thread. Next you'll get to grips with plain weave and horizontal element (weft) of your loom. Finally Rafin shows you how to be creative and eco-friendly with the materials you use on the loom.

On a traditional loom, a weaver would use a shuttle to move the yarn up under and over the warp. They also use a comb to push the yarn on the weft closer together to make the weaving more compact.  In this demo all you need is your hands and a fork to do these jobs.
