A product designer's toolkit

Video: Filmed & Edited by J Winston

jw’s video might seem obvious, but it’s priceless advice for anyone starting out as a product designer. Be prepared, and be nimble- this is a small kit of essentials to keep with you at all times.

Like jw, in time you’ll realise what other tools and equipment will help you draw, communicate, fabricate or store your ideas more effectively. Not all of these things will fit in a small pencil case but as you become more experienced you’ll get to know your ‘go to’ materials and equipment that will fit your way of designing and help make you more productive.
