Nigel Luck has taught some of the biggest names in the fashion industry.
Nigel has many years' experience teaching at the UK's best fashion education establishments. Now the Course Director of MA Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear at London College of Fashion, he has previously held positions at Central Saint Martins, Middlesex University and the University of Westminster. Nigel's philosophy seeks to balance creativity and originality with commercial awareness and personal development, recognising that employers and investors buy into the character of a designer as well as their design aesthetic.
Over his illustrious teaching career, Nigel has taught some of the biggest names in the industry, including: Christopher Bailey (Burberry), Sarah Burton (Alexander McQueen), Hussein Chalayan, Phoebe Philo (Céline), Stella McCartney, Antonio Berardi, Stuart Vevers (Loewe and Coach), Mike Herz (Bally), Peter Copping (Nina Ricci), Giles, Ashley Williams (Fashion East, 2013), Grace Cobb (Wonderland) and Katie Grand (Stylist and Editor, The Love magazine).
Nigel continues to work within the industry as a creative consultant and has worked with Givenchy and a number of Italian brands. Many successful designers continue to seek his advice regarding their own labels, such as David Koma, Julien Macdonald and Markus Lupfer.
