Dr. Miranda Iossifidis is a Lecturer in Contextual and Theoretical Studies at London College of Communication.

She holds a PhD from the Sociology department at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her PhD research explored the relationship between political myths of past uprisings and contemporary urban political action in Athens, focusing on the fabrication of different temporalities and spaces as forms of everyday resistance (2016).

Miranda is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and has taught at UCL, Goldsmiths, City Lit, and Kingston University. She has worked as a Research Assistant at the LSE and City, University of London.

Miranda holds a Postgraduate Certificate in the Management of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from Goldsmiths (2016), an MSc in Contemporary Urbanism from the LSE (2010) and a BA in Interactive Design and Moving Image from LCC (2008).

She has worked as a freelance illustrator, music journalist, and for several years as a designer with architects, urban designers and researchers in Paris, Rotterdam, Caracas and London.
