Javiera Godoy is a designer, architect, researcher and educator. She teaches on BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design and MA Design for Social Innovation and Sustainable Futures at London College of Communication (LCC).
She has worked on several co-design, social innovation, urban regeneration, communication and service design projects across the UK, Spain and Chile.
She has consulted for several public institutions such as the NHS, co-designing mental health environments for St. Pancras Hospital, and collaborated with the Bartlett Real Estate Institute envisioning the future of new urban schools, social infrastructure and community innovation in the UK.
Alongside this, she is currently working for University of the Arts London as a Knowledge Exchange Facilitator on LCC’s MA Service Design course on the ‘LCC Service Design Lab’ (SDXlab) and ‘Co-design Your Place for Erasmus+’ projects.
The projects aim to prepare young people to be change makers, by applying placemaking and service design tools to include communities into urban regeneration initiatives.
Javiera has a background as an architect, holding a degree from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, and Master’s degree from the University of the Arts London, Central Saint Martins in Graphic Communication Design.
