Creating an immersive experience
Côtes du Rhône Wines worked with students and graduates from BA (Hons) Interaction Design Arts at London College of Communication to create an immersive, interactive exhibition to accompany a pop-up wine bar.
The Rhône Touch was a pop-up interactive art exhibition, wine bar and restaurant for summer 2016, designed to showcase the best of Côtes du Rhône wines.
Côtes du Rhône wanted to create an immersive experience that was more than a wine bar. The Rhône Touch needed to celebrate the how wine effects all the senses, and be a memorable experience that stood out from the many pop-up bars throughout London.
Working to a brief to create installations that interpreted the sensual nature of Côtes du Rhône wine, the BA (Hons) Interaction Design Arts students and graduates created installation ideas, and worked with Rhône Wines to develop and refine them. 10 installations were commissioned for the exhibition, showing the colour, smell, touch and feel of Côtes du Rhône wine in an innovative and exciting way.
The Rhône Touch attracted press coverage from across the lifestyle, London and drinks press, and provided innovative content to showcase Côtes du Rhône in a new way.
