WASE

Still from the student animation film
Still from animation by Lexy Garces Beavis, Fahad Khwaja, Sandro Valente and Shuaikang Li

WASE is an organisation that turns waste into bioenergy, water for reuse and agricultural inputs. They approached London College of Communication (LCC) to work with  students who are socially and environmentally conscious and keen to create positive impact through their work. The aim was to expand WASE’s engagement and create better awareness for the important work they do.

WASE briefed third-year BA (Hons) Animation students to develop a series of 30-second animated films that could form one full-length film that communicates WASE’s values, vision and solutions. WASE collaborated with the students throughout the project, with briefing sessions, work-in-progress pitches and final presentations, to produce animated films that effectively communicate their message that waste can be used to build a sustainable future.

The winning animation was created by Lexy Garces Beavis, Fahad Khwaja, Sandro Valente and Shuaikang Li which WASE used on their website and social media.

It has been a fantastic journey, and we have learnt a lot from the students. They have been able to capture our vision and present it imaginatively.
