Ege Sezen is an academic and visual communication designer. He is a Lecturer in graphic design and digital media at Chelsea College of Arts.

Prior to his role at UAL, he was a Lecturer in Creative Practice at University of the West of Scotland (UWS). He taught and coordinated modules on fundamentals of graphic design, web design, coding for art and research in creative practice on BA Digital Art and Design and BA New Media Art. He also supervised undergraduate dissertations at UWS.

Before UWS, he held teaching assistant positions in the Computer Science department at Lancaster University and the Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design department at Sabancı University in Turkey. In these roles, he helped with the delivery of a variety of modules including creative technology, introduction to multimedia, web design, design with typography, layout and corporate identity design.

He completed his interdisciplinary PhD in Digital Innovation at Highwire Centre for Doctoral Training, Lancaster University. His research focused on information and interaction design for a second screen to enhance the football watching experience on television. He plans to expand on his research around information design and multitasking.

Prior to his PhD, he worked as an in-house and freelance graphic and web designer for several years.

He earned his MA in Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design and BA in Economics from Sabancı University. His practice-based MA thesis focused on the visual identity design of a virtual football team has drawn interest from media outlets.

Sezen's teaching philosophy prioritises a student-centred approach. He shapes his teaching practice around students' individual interests and progress. He is a Fellow of UK Higher Education Academy (Advance HE).
