Studying Interior Design Online

At Chelsea College of Arts we believe online learning should allow students to experience the interactive and collaborative art studio experience, no matter where they are in the world. This is why the main element of all our online courses is regular live sessions with tutors (rather than pre-recorded videos). These sessions are limited to small groups (max. 10 students) to give plenty of opportunity for lively discussions, and for each student to ask questions and receive personal feedback on their work from the tutor. These sessions are even recorded so you can review the course content at a more convenient time.

All courses are highly practical. You will be given a new live brief or assignment to work on each week and these assignments are designed to allow you to develop your creativity and personal style, as well as your technical skills and commercial understanding. Each assignment is supported by reference materials and supplementary resources, and you will be able to discuss your progress with your tutor and classmates during the week, via the class forum. All completed assignments are shared privately with your group on our online learning platform, so that you can benefit from peer feedback and see how other designers responded to the assignment briefs.

Each course is carefully designed and delivered by experienced tutors and industry experts, progressing in a structured way to develop your creative and technical skills. At each step, you will be encouraged to do your own research and incorporate your own ideas and influences into your work to help you define and refine unique and personal style.
