15 January – 27 February 2020

TEN is a celebration of the BA Textile Design course at Central Saint Martins and the creative journeys of 13 alumni who graduated from the course 10 years ago. The exhibition also marks 10 years of Anne Marr at the helm as course leader, who has now stepped into the role of Programme Director of the Textiles, Materials and Jewellery programme. The exhibition will be held in the Window Galleries at the Kings Cross campus of Central Saint Martins and accompanied by a digital exhibition online.

A Decade of Creativity:

TEN explores a decade of creative ventures of 13 alumni of the BA Textile Design class of 2009 who are working across multiple disciplines and professions; within textiles and far beyond. From textile design for interiors and fashion to art direction and set design for luxury brands, sculptural woven installations to creative fashion marketing, the work of the class varies across various disciplines of art and design.

Participating Creatives: Kangan Arora, Soukaina Aziz El Idrissi, Sarah Vajira Lindstrom, Celia Lusted, Anna Mojab, Kate Owen, Nadia-Anne Ricketts, Chloe Rood, Jonna Saarinen, Gemma Waggett, Since Wang, Julia van Zanten, Sian Zeng.

Exhibition Design:

The window displays, designed by Chloe Rood, Celia Lusted and Anna Mojab; portray not just complete pieces of work but the creative processes involved through an eccentric scrapbook of multi layered mixed materials. A key Colour module taught by artist Garth Lewis in the first year of the course becomes the inspiration for the windows as hundreds of painted squares become giant backdrops, floor covers and hangings - filling the windows with striking colour.

Private View: Thursday 23 January 2020, 6.00 - 8.00pm

TEN is generously supported by the BA Textile Design Course, G.F Smith and House of Cans.
