I am a cartoonist, researcher, and lecturer. I completed my PhD in graphic communication, Visual Metaphor and Drawn Narratives, at Central Saint Martins in 2018. My work for UAL encompasses a wide range of academic and pedagogic roles. At Central Saint Martins, in addition to teaching on BA Culture, Criticism and Curation, I am an academic support tutor, offering 1-1 tutorials to students from across the college. I also work at London College of Communication as a member of the Design School's Contextual and Theoretical Studies team, and I am currently working on a postdoctoral residency exploring the use of visual and imagistic metaphors in communicating experiences of illness and disability.
Outside UAL, I teach illustration at Kingston School of Art, and animation at the Royal College of Art, and I maintain an active illustration and graphic design practice.
