Nike approached Central Saint Martins' students and academic staff to help develop their Circular Design Guide, ‘Circularity: Guiding the Future of Design’.

They filmed a series of interviews with selected students about how they incorporate circular design into their practice and these films now form part of the online guide which was launched at Copenhagen Fashion Summit.

“When it comes to being a student you’re in this amazing place where you can really dive in and explore progressive ideas…it’s essential and inspirational for global brands and designers and people such as myself to actually spend time with the next generation.”
Samuel Ross, Creative Director and Founder - A-COLD-WALL*

Also unveiled at the Summit were seven works by BA and MA Fashion students created from Flyleather – Nike’s revolutionary material made with at least 50% recycled natural leather fibre. Students were tasked with turning the durable but light material into products of the future. Over the course of a month, and with critique and feedback from their tutors, Nike’s Senior Director of Materials Golnaz Armin and avant-garde streetwear designer Samuel Ross, the students interpreted the brief in wildly different ways ranging from skin protection streetwear to portable picnics. In addition to being exhibited at the summit the chosen designs were featured in an exclusive article for Dazed Digital with an accompanying film entitled ‘A Future World’.
