Hollyport Capital Prize

The company's support includes the Hollyport Capital Prize, which is awarded to two second year BA Fine Art students each year. Students are selected from a shortlist of nominees in the Spring Term and are awarded a cash prize to support the development of their final year projects, ensuring that their creativity is not bound by financial constraints.

This year the selection and award processes went digital in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Winner, Sebastian Elborn, and runner up, Caitlin Dawkes were both very pleased to receive Hollyport Capital's support.

“I am extremely grateful to Hollyport Capital for selecting me as this year’s prize winner. The prize will support me in taking my work to a higher standard through the use of software I could not previously afford [and] has increased my confidence.”
Sebastian Elborn, BA Fine Art, Hollyport Capital Prize , Winner

“The Hollyport Capital prize will unlock ambitious opportunities for my work that were not previously possible or realistic within my budget. It will give me a chance to experiment with higher quality materials, unfamiliar processes, and digital software, without strict financial hinderance. Besides supporting me financially, the prize will help me remember that my practice has potential and is doing something worthy of commendation.”
