Into the Fold 2016

A multi-disciplinary project comprising live events, an exhibition and publication by Camberwell Press.

1 March – 15 April 2016

Into the Fold is an ongoing project that questions the ideology of the studio and gallery space, materialising in the form of an exhibition and publication through a temporary and spontaneous community of practice.

This year Into the Fold brought together a diverse range of emerging and established creative practitioners and thinkers from the world of art and design. These practitioners have worked and developed projects in collaboration with Camberwell Press in the past.

The first three weeks of the project consisted of a series of lectures, workshops and events to generate material and formulate an exhibition. This series of activities explored and questioned ideas around the terms re-work, re-visit and re-imagine.

The participants re-enacted a previously performed event and re-contextualised it for Into the Fold in 2016. The results of this series of events were exhibited in a setting specifically created for the exhibition by artists Lea Collet and Marios Stamatis.

Curated by Marios Stamatis and James Edgar.

Participants included:

Oli Boulton, Edgar-Walker, Europa, Mattia Giussani, Sam Jones, Christopher Lacy, Vanessa Periam, Laure Prouvost, Flaminia Rossi, Eilis Searson, Caz Slattery, Harry Stayt and Konstantinos Trichas.
