This week the UAL Alumni Association welcomed over 160 alumni and friends back to John Princes Street for a special event to celebrate the rich history of London College of Fashion. Many of the guests had lost touch with LCF and came to reconnect with the college and catch-up with old friends.
Head of College, Professor Frances Corner was delighted to welcome so many alumni back to the College and commented how our alumni are a vital part of LCF’s rich history and will play a key role in its future.

With some guests graduating as early as 1949, there have been many changes to LCF and the fashion industry within those 69 years. To give our alumni a flavour of how LCF has evolved, we invited some recent graduates to talk about experiences and demonstrate their skills.
Nelly Rose (pictured below), was amongst those who showcased their work and brought her latest collection, which can be viewed on her Instagram. Lucy-Jane Booth showcased her final year collaborative project with Moschino, and Zoë Kellet (pictured below) demonstrated her transformative prosthetics skills by giving model Chase realistic third-degree burns in only 1 hour.

Alumni could also enjoy a curator-led tour of Comme des Marxists; an exhibition that explores connections between class struggle, politics, design, and consumerism in LCF’s very own Fashion Space Gallery.
To finish the evening, alumni explored some of the eclectic items from the LCF Archives. Susanna Cordner, who manages the archive collection, carefully selected key pieces and spoke about their past and how they are influencing the future.
