After registering more than 85,000 votes, MUUSE have announced the finalists of the MUUSExVogueTalent contest, including three recent LCF graduates and a current student.

Jennifer Yun-Chen Lee, Shabnam Eslambolchi and Ya-Pei Tseng, all 2013 graduates of the BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear; and Jawara Alleyne, currently studying FdA Fashion Design and Marketing, have made it into the final 50 and will now be judged by Vogue Talents Editor, Sara Maino, for a place in the finals.

The collections show the diversity of design that comes out of LCF. Yun-Chen Lee’s delicate clothing, inspired by reactions of fear and shock and featuring prints of dolls heads received the 6th most votes in the public voting, with 1381 votes.

Ya-Pei Tseng’s recent collection explores how memories of Japanese cultural values have been transformed in contemporary society. Whilst, Jawara’s collection is for “female warriors and goddesses”.

Meanwhile, Shabnam Eslambolchi has delved into the historical narratives of Persia for her collection ‘The Plateau’, referencing Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s ‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’.

Congratulations to the LCF finalists and good luck for the final round of judging.
