Matteo Molinari: MA Fashion Design Technology Menswear Alumni
MA Fashion Design and Technology Menswear alumni, Matteo Molinari has been selected as one of four finalists in the prestigious Pitti Uomo talent competition supported by L’Uomo Vogue.
Matteo, who is currently studying a PhD at LCF, has combined modern tailoring with traditional craftsmanship in a collection which will go in front of an international judging panel of top buyers, fashion journalists and leading figures in fashion.
The contest, ‘Who Is On Next? Uomo’, staged by Pitti Immagine, is renowned for spotting and launching Italian talent onto the international stage.
Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine commented on the significance of the competition: “As we have seen with the winners of the first four editions, it opens the way to successful careers in fashion design”.
Matteo’s beautifully tailored collection which features crochet and luxurious menswear fabric, will be presented to the Pitti Uomo audience in a high-tech display created by architect Alessandro Moradei, and will remain on show throughout the fair.
