London College of… Creative Legacy // LCC alumni continues work with Alan Fletcher Archive

-1

London College of Communication BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design graduate Daniel Chehade continues to be involved with the the Alan Fletcher Archive – an ongoing project charting the legacy of one of the most influential figures in graphic design.

Daniel who had previously worked at John Morgan’s Studio, was approached by Raffaella Fletcher in 2010 and joined her team on the ambitious project to catalogue  her father’s vast archive of work.

Over the following 18 months they unearthed many wonderful unpublished pieces, the first installment of which became his first children’s book in the UK – ‘Anteaters to Zebras’ – a glorious set of colourful collage paper animals.

He simultaneously helped organise two successful exhibitions to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Alan’s magnum opus – ‘The Art of Looking Sideways’, at the Kemistry Gallery in Shoreditch and the old St Martin’s Windows Gallery in the Charing Cross Road.

The archive project continues, and has just recently been boosted by the launch of the ‘Alan Fletcher Archive’ website which will seek to provide a creative legacy and resource for all future students of his work.
