London Collections: Men AW14 is about to kick off, featuring some very talented LCF alumni…

Monday 6th January sees collections from Marc Hare, alumnus of Fashion Business and recent panel speaker at the college, and alumna Ada Zanditon, BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear 2007, and co-founder of Ada+Nik with Nik Thakkar.

Recent BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery graduate, Roxanne Farahmand, whose 3D printed metalwork and handmade leather pieces were first seen on LCF’s 2013 Runway, is part of Fashion East’s installation, marking her out as one to watch for the next generation of menswear talent.

Also, MA Fashion Design Technology Menswear alumnus 2012, Joseph Turvey, who is about to release a collection with River Island, is to present his AW13 collection in an installation promising to show off his unique take on luxe streetwear.

On Tuesday, rising star J.W. Anderson, BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology Menswear 2005, features; as well as Saif Bakir, BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Menswear, and one half of design duo COMMON; followed by Kay KwokMA Fashion Design and Technology: Menswear 2012.

Finally, on Wednesday we see Wouter Baartmans and Amber Siegel, BA (Hons) and MA Fashion Design Technology Menswear 2010, who make up the luxury menswear label, Baartmans & Seigel. As well as, duo Agi & Sam, designers supported by the Centre for Fashion Enterprise’s New Fashion Venture Programme, who are based at our Mare Street studios.

Throughout, you can see the AW13 men’s footwear collection from Diego Vanassibara, alumnus of BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Innovation, at the Designer Showroom, NEWGEN MEN.

Showing off-schedule is Sebastiaan Groenen, BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring 2012 and winner of the LCF 2012 collection of the year, who is set to release his debut collection, Pieter.
