LCC celebrate a vibrant community

England might have been in the middle of playing their last game in Brazil (well, not that it really mattered, they were coming home anyway), and the sun was shining brightly outside, but that didn’t stop London College of Communication (LCC) alumni making the trip back to South East London for an evening of celebrating, networking and reuniting.

Head of College Natalie Brett was delighted to be there as the College opened its doors to the School of Design degree show and new workshop spaces for the alumni to tour, commenting how proud she was to be part of such a “vibrant community”.

In her welcoming speech, Natalie highlighted some of the key activates of the past 12 months including the launch of LCC’s Graduate School and UAL’s alumni events in Hong Kong and Shanghai. She said how fantastic is was to have opportunities like this to meet some of the College’s passionate ambassadors from across the globe and how thrilled she was that so many wanted to be part of LCC’s future.

Alumni will always be an immensely important part of the College bringing their advice and mentoring  current students, introducing corporate connections to provide internships and strategic partnerships or helping support our students who might be struggling financially.

This was the second event for all LCC alumni with the first back in the summer of 2013 celebrating its 50th anniversary at the Elephant and Castle site. With the alumni network set to increase as 100’s more graduate from LCC this month (and indeed thousands from across our other five colleges), we hope to be able to welcome back even more friends next year.
