MA Documentary Film graduate Leila Hussian has been shortlisted for the prestigious Grierson Awardswhich celebrate the best of British documentary filmmaking in 2013.
Leila’s 2012 graduation film Halfway at Sea has been nominated in the Sky Atlantic best student documentary category.
The film, which has been featured at the Flat Pack Film Festival and the Sheffield Doc/Fest looks at life in one on the sunniest spots in Britain, Beachy Head – a picturesque tapestry of windswept farmland, rough sea and bright chalk cliffs. And a place which also boasts the second highest suicide rate in the world.
