Taking place during the prestigious VIP week of the Frieze Art Fair, RAW is a group exhibition showcasing the work of eight gifted graduates from Chelsea Art College’s MA program.

As a group they reflect an international reach with represented artists from America, UK, Russia, South Korea and Venezuela as well as pinpoint universal artistic and conceptual preoccupations that transcend cultural differences.

Here, the concept ‘RAW’ is correlated with the notion of the new and the fresh in the face of a complex and ever-changing world.

Using an array of artistic disciplines and techniques including painting, photography, video installation, sculpture, tapestry, collage and assemblage, these artists are united by an innate visual instinct and distinctively emotional reaction to their subjects. Whether addressing pertinent issues such as economics, capitalism, social and ideological shifts or moral dilemmas – these artworks are all hard-hitting, visceral and critical reactions taking place in real time.
