Artist Janette Parris in conversation with Brian Chalkley on BBC2

BBC

This Saturday 17th May, Janette Parris will be in conversation with Brian Chalkley at 7pm on BBC2 – not to be missed! Chelsea College of Art MA Fine Art course director Brian Chalkley will be interviewing the English artist about her new work  ‘Bad Copy: Carrdiff by Parris’ at  Museums at Night 2014, which will be shown at Cardiff Story Museum.

For this site specific work, Parris has created performances developed from four museum objects. 200 lucky visitors will experience the songs as actors spontaneously start singing in the museum space. In an interview with Mark Sheerin, Parris said that “the challenge is to change preconceptions of what an artist is and what they do.”

Parris’ work can be seen at the Cardiff Story (Cardiff) between 15 and 17th of May 2014. Tickets are free but advanced booking is advised.
