Alumni Community Launched in Taipei

With 1800 graduates based in Taiwan, University of the Arts London was delighted to officially launch the UAL Taiwan Alumni Association this month, by hosting a reception at the prestigious Museum of Modern Art, Taipei (MOCA).

Kindly sponsored by Lih-Pao Cultural Arts Foundation, this exciting event welcomed all local alumni to discuss ideas for future activities, meet old and new friends, be updated on recent UAL news and be introduced to the UAL Taiwan Alumni Association President, Ian Hsieh (CSM, BA (Hons) & MA Fine Art).

Ian has been working with UAL on a number of activities over the past couple of years to encourage local graduates to come together. Going forward, Ian will now be joined in his efforts by a committee of fellow alumni who have volunteered their time to plan a number of communications and projects to unite our Taiwanese community and inspire everyone to share ideas, offer support and encourage collaboration.

Caroline Archer, Head of Partnerships for UAL said “We are excited to be working with the UAL Taiwan Alumni Committee to help support and develop innovative engagement opportunities for our graduates based in Taiwan.  Taiwan is our sixth largest international alumni audience and we look forward to working closely with the Taiwan Alumni Association to develop this creative network.”
