Dear colleagues
The Universities & Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) have informed us that that the full and final pay offer of 2 per cent for the 2014 / 15 pay negotiations has been accepted by an overwhelming majority of University & College Union (UCU) members.
UCU indicated to members that the consequences of this ballot result would be:
If a majority members vote to accept the offer then we will inform the employers, the pay dispute carried over from 2013 will be resolved, and the marking boycott due to commence on 6 May will not be implemented. http://www.ucu.org.uk/hepay13
UCU’s HE committee met earlier yesterday and have formally confirmed this decision.
GMB and UNISON are of course still consulting on the final 2014 / 15 pay offer.
