Affordable Art Fair returns to Hampstead Heath from 10-13 May, thrilling the capital with thousands of affordable original contemporary artworks from UK and international artists. These include twelve diverse and distinctive UAL talents taking part through Made in Arts London, a not for profit enterprise which helps UAL artists to promote and sell their work.
The partnership with Affordable Arts Fair Hampstead began six years ago to ensure that UAL artists starting out on their careers are represented at this leading retail event, where they can talk to galleries and collectors and create a market for their pieces.
Read on for the UAL artists on show and the UAL programme organised by Made in Arts London, including special tours of the UAL artists’ work, a panel event and 3D family portrait scanning workshops by one of our artists.

Chloe Bowman MA Photography, London College of Communication 2017
Chloe’s photography is influenced by her deeply personal perception of creatures like lizards and insects after working in the exotic animal industry for several years.

Using materials close to those used by writers, Egor’s work places him somewhere between the realms of writer and visual artist working with ink on paper, accenting with watercolour or acrylics at times.

Stella sets out to capture the outwards projections of people in material and western societies, highlighting the emotional disconnect we may have as humans to the world that we have created and now have to live in.

Also a star of the Xhibit exhibition showing at Bermondsey Project Space, Rayvenn considers herself to be a sculptor from a new generation of artists who use technology as a sculptural tool.

Tour of the UAL artists’ exhibition
Thursday 10 May and Sunday 13 May, 2-2.30pm
Made in Arts London has an exhibition area in the entrance to the fair and will be leading two Tour de Jours, dedicated tours to introduce the public to UAL students’ artworks, through the lens of ‘Identity and Persona’.
Sofa Session: being an emerging artist today
Saturday 12 May: 1 – 2pm
Saturday lunchtime UAL Short Courses host a panel talk between Central Saint Martins, UAL tutor, Andrew Marsh and four of the UAL artists. They will be discussing their work and topics surrounding their practice such as what it’s like to be an emerging artist today and attitudes to selling in today’s art market.
3D scanning workshop
Not to be missed: a 3D scanning workshop experience for visitors led by exhibiting UAL artist Marco Pantaleoni, with the opportunity to buy the prints as a unique family portrait. On throughout the fair visitors will be able to play with their image, reinterpreting themselves and allowing the 3D scan to misread their forms.
