Last month on the blog we announced the launch of The Reuse Exchange at the CCW Progression Centre in Wilson Road.
The Reuse Exchange encourages students on the Foundation Diploma course to drop off old projects and excess materials and in exchange take away something else for a new project. The aim is to actively engage students in working responsibly and sustainably with their materials. The project encourages students to understand the materials they are working with; what they are, where they come from and how they can be used.
The Reuse Exchange (pictured above) is proving to be very popular among students and staff alike and more information about the project can be found on The Reuse Exchange blog.
During Green Week artist Michelle Reader worked at CCW Progression Centre to create a sculpture from recycled materials, Michelle along with the Foundation students produced a sail boat.
