Min studied MA Fashion Design Technology Womenswear and is from Republic of Korea

What and where did you study prior to your MA at LCF?

I did a BA in Fashion Design (Womenswear) at Sejong University, Seoul, Korea.

What inspired your graduate collection?

I took inspiration from the Pink Frilled Dress Syndrome and photographer Vee Speers’ The Birthday Party. I feel that the Pink Frilled Dress Syndrome is a kind of mental development stage all girls go through – my collection, with its neutral tones and unexpected silhouettes is the antithesis to this.”

Did you undertake any internships whilst studying? And if so how do you feel about them?

I have interned as a fashion assistant at Seoul Fashion Week and Roliat, Seoul and I have also worked as a freelance fashion illustrator. I am currently doing an internship in woven design at LUCAS NASCIMENTO. This is a great opportunity for me to experience the real fashion field.

What are your futures plans?

I would like to learn more about the industry through working for established fashion designers in different countries. After that, I hope to launch my own collection.
