Students on London College of Communication’s BA (Hons) Sound Arts and Design and MA Sound Arts courses were recently invited to develop Sonic Trails for Tate Modern. The project was devised by Tate’s Early Years and Families Programme in collaboration with artist and LCC Associate Lecturer Dan Scott, while MA students were also supported by Senior Lecturer Dr Thomas Gardner.
The students spent time at Tate Modern after all the visitors had left and recorded the sounds of the building. They also made their own interventions in the space including an impromptu concert in the Turbine Hall and a choreographed dance in the Joseph Beuys room.
