Staff at LCF and the University of Hertfordshire have been undertaking research into the employability attributes or ‘competencies’ that staff and students at UAL and employers think are most important for their discipline. Dr Alison James, Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching at LCF, is now circulating the resulting list to as many staff, students and employers as possible to ask for their help in rank ordering this list in terms of importance. This short activity simply requires participants to arrange 18 competencies into a list ranging from most important to least important. Dr James would like as many staff and students to fill this in as soon as possible, before the deadline of 30 May and expresses her appreciation in advance for all participation.
