Wimbledon College of Arts is close to the expansive green spaces of Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park yet only 15 minutes by train to central London.
Wimbledon itself has a mix of both high street and independent shops, bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants. In nearby Tooting, the vibrant indoor market is home to street food vendors and traders selling everything from fashion, music, beauty products, arts and crafts.

Popular bars and pubs include The Castle and The Antelope, both in Tooting, and Tooting Tram and Social that has live music and open mic nights. The Leather Bottle pub is 300 years old. The Grade II-listed New Wimbledon Theatre welcomes large West End tours, whilst the Polka Theatre produces children's shows. Many film and television companies, prop houses and production studios are located nearby. These include Pinewood Studios, Riverside Studios, Discovery Channel and the BBC.
As a student at Wimbledon you will have London's amazing resources on your doorstep. There's a world of performing arts to explore including West End productions, opera, dance, immersive theatre experiences and live art spaces such as Tate Modern.
