Emerging Artists Programme

University Art Collection

Initially formed in 1986, the University Collection is an exciting and diverse body of emerging work comprised of over 700 pieces by alumni of the University. This ever growing collection includes works from a variety of disciplines such as painting, sculpture and mixed media and together tells the recent history of trends across the colleges.

Works are purchased throughout the year either at degree shows, independent shows or during studio visits following recommendations and research.

The Collection is displayed across the University's sites throughout London. When possible, works are also loaned to corporate partners and to commercial galleries and artists for exhibitions.

Highlights from the Collection include Mona Hatoum (CSM, 1979), Tom Hunter (LCC, 1994), Andrew Grassie (CSM, 1988), Dan Holdsworth (LCC, 1998), Layla Curtis (Chelsea, 2000), Rut Blees Luxemburg (LCC, 1993) and Toby Ziegler (CSM, 1996)
