Mind the Gap
Abstract:
"Mind the Gap" is concerned with developing a new approach to the aesthetic and function of the universal hospital gown.
Areas of importance are design and dignity, material choices, methods of production, maintenance and disposability. Phase one of the research will contribute to a collaborative exhibition with public artist, Sue Ridge, to be held late 2006 to launch the new BCAD unit at Central Middlesex Hospital, Park Royal, London. Phase two will be sample production and user trial.
