Mary Schoeser's 'Of Clans, Kirks, Cows and Calico: The Influence of Scottish Turkey-Red in North America', in Seeing Red: Scotland's Exotic
The exhibition takes place at Collins Gallery, Glasgow, 6 October - 17 November 2007. This paper examines both the technical and social influence of Scottish Turkey-red dyed and printed textiles, and was the result of a Gill Fellowship from Winterthur Museum, Delaware, USA.
Current research includes an examination and contextualization of the work of Rozanne Hawksley, for a publication and a touring exhibition, the latter to open at The Gallery, Ruthin, in 2009.
